Memory Keepsakes ~

My first in the Memory Keepsakes series. Have not thought of a name for the collection or the pieces, shall work on it when I’m inspired.

This was rather challenging; I never did thought that the slim box in hot pink was that difficult to work with. I’m quite sad that the silver pink rose-patterned paper looked white in this picture. I guess my photography skills are at best, amateurish. Shall brush up on it soon.

And the lil’ matching bookmark! I love this piece.

.

Tip: Silver imprints, especially those on a light coloured surface (in this example) will not be noticable in normal light; unless you tilt it at an angle so that the silver catches the light. So as first impressions goes; not a good choice really. The silver imprints and the light pink hues are tangible only upon closer examination.

And I’ve realised that I tend to favour the pinks-maroon colour spectrum in most of my cards so I tend to run of the materials pretty fast. But well, most of my craftwork are more ‘girly’, which doesn’t necessarily equates to pink; but the colours are lovely :)

purple loves

Hours of sheer purple indulgence – from selecting the delightful craft paper with the oriental charm theme; felt material and miscellanous decorative lavender paper; to the rose of a deep violet hue. Hmmm. The rose seems to appear more indigo than violet in the picture though.

Made a lil’ bookmark on a whim; simplicity is lovely.

There concludes my keepsakes-themed 21st birthday cards; in case you didn’t notice, the first was the passionate red.

happy 21st!

It isn’t exactly what you’ll term a card – it’s a prettily decorated box :)
.
Am rather proud of this novel idea; a tidy finish the various well wishes from friends written on various craft paper stored in the slim box :)
.
DIY-ed the front design, with patterned paper. It’s a pity that the intricate designs on the paper can’t be seen in this picture, but it’s just the pale pink rose design that I love to use.
.
Most of the materials from Spotlight, namely
1. the square silver box
2. dusty pink paper roses
3. maroon gauze ribbo
4. the wooden numbers: 2, 1,
.
And not forgetting! The lovely silver butterfly sequin on the numerical ‘2′, which has become my signature trademark for all my creations.
.
Wonder why Spotlight at Plaza Singapura is out of so many craft materials. Specially made a trip there to stock up on my rapidly depleting supply of ribbons, but there’s a pathetic few designs left. Made a wasted trip. Now I’ve to source for new stock. *sigh*
